Description
This sacred and traditional recipe, based on Tsunu bark ashes and artisanal Corda Mapacho, offers a taste of the forest and its power—a truly rewarding blend for the spiritual warrior.
This time-honoured blend works to open and harmonise the body, mind and spirit. The ingredients help remove blocked energy within the system. In some cases, it may also cleanse the digestive tract (in strong doses, this medicine can induce physical and/or spiritual purging). One of the main components, Tsunu ash, is well known for supporting digestion and providing overall healing to the body.
In the right set and setting, this blend works intensively on the emotional level. It opens the crown chakra, third eye, thymus and heart. The blend is formulated to focus on the higher chakras and is said to purify both the pineal gland and sinuses.
Warrior brings a wide range of welcome benefits to both body and soul. Let it unfold within you, offering spiritual strength, energetic cleansing, and support with physical tiredness.
This Rappé was crafted by a young maker named Peu, who spent three years in dieta, dedicating his life to the traditional spirituality of his people. Peu has emerged as one of the key cultural and spiritual ambassadors of the Yawanawá tradition. His profound knowledge and mastery of its practice and techniques are reflected in the quality of his Rappé.
The Yawanawá people nearly lost their traditions and culture following contact with the Western world in the last century, and they fought for their survival for decades. A shift began in the late 1980s with a cultural revival movement. Led by their new chief, Birací—an outspoken advocate for tribal rights—the Yawanawá expelled the rubber tappers, missionaries, and alcohol from their communities. Guided by the last two living medicine men, Birací became the first of a new generation to undergo a traditional initiation dieta. Peu followed in his footsteps.
In this way, the Yawanawá began to reclaim their ancestral medicines such as Rume (Rappé), Uni (Ayahuasca), and others. During this period of renewal, leaving a painful past behind, they moved their community to a new location for a fresh start. They baptised their new home Nova Esperança – ‘New Hope’. There, they also began their tradition of yearly cultural festivals, inviting the outside world into their universe. This special snuff was created in the spirit of Nova Esperança, and in honour of all the men and women warriors who fought to keep the Yawanawá traditions alive.
Suggested Use
Use in a quiet, grounded setting with respect for the tradition. Begin with a very small amount, especially if you are new or sensitive to tobacco. Sit upright, set an intention, and use a kuripe for self-application or receive from an experienced server using a tepi. Apply gently and remain seated for a few minutes while the body settles. Contains tobacco and nicotine unless clearly marked tobacco-free. Avoid during pregnancy, with heart or blood pressure concerns, nicotine sensitivity, or when using alcohol or other intoxicants.
